Photography Preparation Tips
- Halterbreak your animal, and tie it's head up high; it will help the leadsman out on photo day!
- make sure your animal or animals are properly clipped and washed. If you aren't comfortable clipping the topline I can fix that up when I get there.
- if you are flushing your cow or you know when her next heat is stay away from photographing her on or close to those days.
- If she isnt used to being separated from the other cows, either get her used to it or dont separate her till the last possible moment. (in time to wash her that morning)
- Make sure you have enough people to help for dairy cattle portraits it's important to have at least 4 people, however, 5 is better.
- And remember, it is preferable to photograph your cow when she is ready if possible, that way you will get the best photograph possible.
